Building and Roofing Science Seminar

Earn 5 CEU Credits and spend the day with experts James Kirby, Tom Taylor, and James Willits as they highlight crucial topics such as code requirements, green building and sustainability, and understanding ways to lower moisture ingress risks. If you battle with installation methodologies, resilient design, or how to specify TPO, then join us Thursday, March 8, in Nashville with FREE sessions on the following:

  • Market Statistics for Membranes and Insulation: The past, present, and future of the commercial roofing market. See where the industry has been and where it is headed
  • The Pros and Cons of Single-Ply Membranes: See the 50-year progression and evolution of single-ply technology and installation
  • TPO Performance: Build understanding of the history, general performance, and accelerated-aging testing of TPO
  • Air Barriers Versus Vapor Retarders: Understand the fundamental differences between air barriers and vapor retarders as well as code requirements and how to achieve compliance
  • Resiliency: Learn how resilient building practices can substantially improve existing construction, reduce downtime, and improve operational practices after a weather event
  • The Perils of Value Engineering: Examine the potential downside to changes made under the guise of value engineering and review its long-term impact
